🔜Remember, the New Year on God's Calendar begins this weekend at Rosh Hashanah! This will prepare us for the fuller shift into 2020❗
🔹Reverence & Awe🔹🙇♀️ We also can't forget that we are in a time of transition! After Rosh Hashanah, the "Head of the Year" which begins at sundown on Sunday, we begin the final 10 days of Teshuvah. This is known as the "Days of Awe", between the New Year (Rosh Hashanah) and the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). This is a time for serious introspection, a time to consider the sins of the previous year and come to a place of repentance and returning fully to God with a pure heart. As I was considering these days of transition, I read some verses in Hebrews today that spoke so clearly to me about this time, and what I have been sensing for this time we are in, and the time we are entering. 👇👇👇 "See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, how much more will we not escape, if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying - 'Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.' Now this, 'Yet once more', indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. For our God is a consuming fire!" ~Hebrews 12:25-29 During these Days of Awe, I sense we really need to heed to these verses in Hebrews, and by the Lord's grace, offer to Him acceptable worship, with much reverence and awe. 🔷️ Some have heard me say this over the years, but it bears repeating. There have been many in the body of Christ who have thrown out reverence with religion.🔷️ Religion and the religious spirit must go...but in this time, we need to return to reverencing the Lord God Almighty, the Supreme and Only God, the Maker of heaven and earth! The Lord is now beginning to return His body to a place of standing in reverence and awe before His Holy Presence! He is returning the true fear of the Lord to His Church...and we will begin to see this and sense it in many different ways in this next season, beginning to increase even from this next week I believe! The Lord is also raising up 5-fold leaders in His body who will preach and declare this reverence, awe, and fear of the Lord to His people once again. A great spirit of repentance will accompany their words, and many will experience the true "fear of the Lord" for the first time. We must always remember, that our God is a consuming FIRE! 🔥🔥🔥
