ARE WE TRULY LISTENING TO ALL THE LORD IS TRYING TO SPEAK?? OR ONLY WHAT WE WANT MOST TO HEAR? 🤷‍♀️🤔

This post may not be so popular, and I may step on some toes in my prophetic sphere. So be it. I feel it needs to be said.

Can I be honest?? When I see this post come up from 3 years ago (see pic above) it still makes me kinda sad. 🤷‍♀️😔🤦‍♀️

Through this simple word in 2019, and many other detailed words released by myself and some other prophets (though not as many others as I would like), the Lord was trying His best to get us all #prepared for what was coming in 2020 and beyond, yet most didn't want to hear that. What would have happened if we had all listened?

Many would have preferred that "breakthrough" was the word that was heard, or something similarly exciting and positive. Those words will get everyone excited, and get the poster thousands of "likes" and shares.😏

And I get it...we all need breakthroughs on some level, but guys, many times the Lord is wanting to speak about things way bigger than our personal "breakthroughs" (even though those are important to Him also, but on a different level). Many times, He's wanting to speak about nations and leaders, especially to leaders in the body of Christ.

While we all value breakthroughs at certain times, most don't want to hear about the "breakdowns" that are eminent and necessary. Many things need to be broken down, before there can truly be a breakthrough!

We truly need to get out of the ONLY "me, mine, what I need" type of prophecy that we see so much in the body of Christ. I'm not saying personal prophecy isn't needed, and I'm not saying the gift of prophecy shouldn't be functioning in the local body, as it should most definitely. But guys... most of what is on FB, and even a lot of what is spoken from pulpits is "grab what you want" prophecy. I just honestly don't see that as biblical most of the time.

We can take verses of scripture and declare them over our lives, and yes we should. We can say "No weapon formed against you will prosper", and yes that is a word for everyone who is truly a child of God, because it is in His word. But usually, words will not be generic and for everyone in the body. There are times when the Lord is speaking to "the remnant", to "His warriors who are weary", but it isn't usually as generalized as "anyone who wants it, gets it"!

Most of the time, when He's speaking to the whole body, it is to try to get them ready for what is coming. I mean guys, if we look scripturally speaking, isn't that one of the primary purposes of God speaking through prophecy, both in the Hebrew scriptures and in the new testament scriptures? Especially in reference to Him speaking to many people, or to a group (the whole of Israel or His church)...wasn't it mainly to warn and prepare them for things that would be happening?

Let me ask you...how could we have prepared ourselves, and our fellowships, more for what was in store in 2020 and 2021? What could we have done personally, and the body of Christ as a whole, to prepare, if we had truly listened and prepared as He was telling us to at that time?

I wonder what would happen if we would listen to hear FULLY what He's saying, not just what we want to hear, for the New Year?? No I'm not saying we should listen to every "doom & gloomer" prophecy out there, that is only speaking of bad things coming. Of course not! But we must learn to listen to more than just what we want to hear. We must grow up to mature sons and daughters, who can handle the meat of the word, and not just the milk...yes, of His logos and rhema, prophetic words!

Will this year be any different than the others? Will we only subscribe to what makes us feel better, what tickles our ears, or what we are longing for? 🤔 I pray not! 🙏

Remember, many who are releasing prophecies nowadays know what a lot of people are needing most to hear, and they are playing into that. Please let the Lord know that you want to hear whatever He has to say, and ask Him to show you what He is truly speaking for this hour, not just what you want to hear.

Still praying for #Reformation,

Success! Message received.

Amanda Shiflett is the founder of Prophetic Reformer and Co-founder of Kingdom Life Ministries, along with her husband Darin. She is a Prophetic Minister who heard the Lord's call from a very young age. Amanda is a heralding voice of truth, holiness, and purity within the prophetic, and calls others to stand in a place of no compromise in their callings. She longs to see reformation come most especially to the current Prophetic movement, as well as the other parts of the 5-fold within the body of Christ.

Along with her calling as a Prophetess, Amanda also flows in a powerful worship and healing anointing, and is a gifted teacher and writer as well. Although she loves all aspects of the ministry that God has called her to, her personal passion is to see reformation come to the Body of Christ and the current prophetic movement. She also longs to see those in the Body of Christ reach their destinies - to see God's people break free from their strongholds and bondages, to walk in complete wholeness and freedom in Christ. She is honored and excited to serve the Lord in many capacities in the Kingdom, seeing lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit!

Over a 10 year period, Amanda received overall training in biblical studies, with extensive training in prophecy, spiritual warfare, Hebraic roots, healing, and supernatural ministry, at various ministry schools. In addition, she also traveled and served under several national and international ministries during that time. She is constantly engaging in more study and understanding in the revelations of the Lord, and is actively involved in continuing education.

Amanda and her husband, Darin, are both Apostolically aligned with and ordained through FMCI, under the apostolic leadership of Apostle Jim Hodges. They currently reside near Dallas, TX.
