An era ends...and another begins. Her Majesty, the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, has passed away at the age of 96. She was the longest reigning British Monarch in the country's 1200 years of monarchs, sitting on the throne for 70 years. 🇬🇧 👑
I cannot impress on you how huge this is, for the United Kingdom and the world. I feel the weight of this passing more than I have in a very long time.
She is the world’s oldest reigning monarch and the longest-reigning queen regnant in history.
She was the only Queen to sit on the British throne since her great-great grandmother, Queen Victoria, and the only British Monarch to reign longer than Queen Victoria.
"As the queen's death was announced on Thursday, two rainbows were visible to crowds gathered near the Queen Victoria Memorial outside of Buckingham Palace."
Once the Queen exclaimed to a chaplain: “How I wish that the Lord would come in my lifetime!” “Why?” asked the chaplain. The Queen replied with quivering lips and her whole countenance lighted up by deep emotion. “I should so love to lay my crown at His feet!”

"The time for Her Majesty, The Queen to depart her assignment on this earth, is quickly approaching. Her passing will be honored and commemorated by many around the world, unlike what we have seen in many years. A sense of great change will accompany her passing, and many will notice it.
Her legacy has been great, and although she has made many mistakes (as we all do, and her family has made many more) I believe her heart to serve her people and her country will be remembered by all. She truly believed that her role as Queen was given by God, and I 100% agree. She has lived long for this very reason...it was chosen by God to be so. She will be remembered for her integrity and graciousness, even for such a young Queen, as she was when she began her reign. Many may see her as only a figurehead, but that is not how the Kingdom of heaven views her. She has an authority that many have not understood, whether for good or for evil.
Much will change at her passing, not just for the United Kingdom, but around the world. It will be a major sign of the transition we are making in this new era."
